The Black Pearl

I have joined the ranks of the Quilting Sisterhood of the Featherweight, after eight years I stumbled onto the perfect little addition to my Quilting Room. Found at the greatest store on the coast http://piratesplunder.net/home.html

even the case is beautiful,

and it had all the original accessories. It looks perfect on my "new" cabinet, (also from Pirates Plunder!)

The Black Pearl is all packed back up ready to make a Debut at Quilting on Monday , http://theharlanvalleyquilters.blogspot.com/2012/01/member-projects.html

The Newly spruced up Community Hall is a perfect setting for my new machine.

I have been testing her out on these Crumb Quilt blocks. Perfect piecing!

I am not the only one that has one of these little cuties, Thanks LuAnn for getting me all oiled up and humming along.

Snow Dyeing - Finally

It finally snowed here , and my wonderful neighbor invited me over for a impromptu Playday. We had to jump at the chance, it does not snow very often where we live. We have been waiting for a couple of years to try it. We have been familiarizing ourselves with the Dyes the past couple of months, so all we had to do was scrounge up some containers. And Hurry and use some of this Snow before it disappeared before our very eyes.

Soda Ash soaked cloth

Cloth swirled and scrunched

Pack on the snow

Then the FUN part !!!

Looks like a giant snow cone :)

Later after a rain

and wind storm that took our power and water out....

The water is back on and I am ready to rinse

10 yards of fabric

A very successfully couple of days, thanks LuAnn, the instigator of all this fun. Check out her blog about our Snow Dyeing Fun.

My favorite

Thanks again LuAnn
