McMinnville Garden Faire Sunday 25 of June

McMinnville Garden Faire

I'll have my first show of Summer at McMinnville this Sunday.

It was a lot of fun last year.

If you are in the area come and check out all the art and awesome plants.

Last year I spent all my money on beautiful hanging baskets.

I hope that nursery has a booth again.

I'll be selling my own style of flowers.

It is haymaking time in our area. There are many types of hay equipment, all the neighbors know to save me all those old parts they have to replace every year. The blades make great flowers.

Some other new art pieces....

A new pack of racing snail.

A couple of new fish.

 and More Saw-blade Owls

Spring Garden Festival

Oregon Grape -State Flower

Spring has finally arrived in Oregon, after record rainfalls everything is blooming and green.

It is time to get out and enjoy some gardening and shopping.

Boxes of Birds

I have been getting back to the metal shop, trying to come up with new ideas.

One of the best ways I know how to do this is to work mainly from material that I have squirreled away over the years. One of my goals this season is to only use metal I already have in the supply shed.
It forces me to get out of my comfort zone of working with the same old parts that I know "work".

It also encourages me to use those precious pieces that are "too cool" to use, I figure they might as well exist in a piece of Art where other people can enjoy them instead of some dark dusty corner of my shop.

Good news they have a shuttle for the Fall Festival, park at Avery Square, and ride to the festival. My booth number is 93.

The sun is coming out, looks like a good weekend.

Garland Nursery Art and Wine in the Garden

Happy little snail family.

A pair of special bird, made with parts of cut up saw blades. I inherited these from a great uncle...and icon in the valley where I live. He made many knives, both artistic and useful...the steel cut from the saw blades you see in my birds.

Hope to see you at Garland
